Literacy, Drama and Etudes Sociales UPDATE!

Bonjour!

Please pardon the delayed update on my part; I had expected that Google Classroom Parental Sharing would have been functional by now but unfortunately the option is not yet available for us to use.   Students all have access to our Google Classroom so feel free to ask them (or have them show you!) what is posted in there as I am always adding resources, copies of paper assignments and success criteria for projects!

A quick update on the status of our social studies, drama and literacy programs: as you might have heard, we have delved right into the 1600s with our role playing project where students complete activities based on their character (chosen randomly) and how they would have lived and interacted with their fellow colonists in the 17th century.

Students are currently working on completing their Fakebook accounts and their Explorer Maps (the success criteria are in Google Classroom). Our work in the 1600s will be culminating in the next few weeks with some letter reading and writing (which will also involve French literacy), a quiz, and a first person role playing exercise that will integrate drama, literacy and social studies.

I hope students have been sharing our learning with you at home, as it is a fascinating time period and has be SO fun to me to share with the class!

:)
