Yearley!!

On Tuesday, September 27th, our class will be headed to the Yearley Outdoor Education Centre for what is for many students the highlight of their elementary school career.  We will be participating in active, outdoor programs on both Tuesday, September 27th and Wednesday, September 28th.  The bus will leave Tuesday at approximately 9:00 a.m. and will return at approximately 4:15 p.m on the Wednesday.
Forms were sent out today with information for both parents and students.  Please fill out and return the purple forms, along with $25 for food purchases, by next Monday, September 19th.
Parent volunteers are essential to Yearley, so please consider helping out in some way.  Volunteers are needed to bake goods, to purchase food, and are welcome to come with us to Yearley for any or all programs and to chaperone for the overnight portion of the trip
We stay overnight at Yearley, in gender-specific cabins.  Students, parents and teachers all help to prepare food and clean up afterwards.
September should be a beautiful time of year at Yearley and we are participating in some great programs, including the Fur Trade game, an exploration of a wetlands, canoeing, the Ecology game and potentially, swimming.
We hope that you can join us for the adventure!
