A Trip to Bracebridge!
As you may be aware, the students in our class are responsible for collecting and organising all of the recycling and composting for our school, on a weekly basis. To thank our class for their efforts and in order for them to become the school’s resident recycling experts, Mr. Jewiss has agreed to pay for a bus for our class to visit the recycling sorting facility in Bracebridge this Wednesday, November 25th.
As well as a one-hour tour of the recycling facility, we will be heading on the bus for a short trip to the Bracebridge transfer station, where we will see what happens to non-recyclable items. Following lunch at the recycling depot (please send a bag lunch), we will be heading to the Bracebridge Sportsplex, where we have the pool (and waterslide!) reserved from approximately 12:45 - 1:45 p.m..
We will be leaving HPS at 9:00, after buses arrive in the morning and will be back in time for afternoon buses. The only cost of the trip is the cost for the pool rental and lifeguards: $7 per student. Please send in the $7 and permission form as soon as possible.
Parent volunteers are welcomed. Please send a note in your child’s agenda if you can join us!
